Burgers Fries 'N' Things

Burgers Fries 'N' Things Houston, TX Cheeseburger American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion on white bun $3.35 This place was described as a hidden gem of Houston in the burger game, and I am inclined to be indifferent to that statement. Referred by an article to this place, I had no idea of what to expect. Going into the trip, I knew the place was "cash only" so that was interesting right off the back. Pulling up to the location, it is essentially a small shack on the corner of two streets with a little order window and no seating or tables to eat your food, so it's a grab and go, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I tend to like to eat my food as soon as I get it for maximum flavor grading. On the plus side, I really loved the price of this burger, only $3.35 for the burger and $5.79 for the meal. That is pretty comparable to a fast food burger meal. Now when we get to the actual burger, I have to meet it with mixed reviews. The meat its

The Mosquito Cafe

The Mosquito Cafe Galveston, TX Southwest Green Chile Burger Angus Beef Patty topped with Spicy Roasted Chopped Green Chiles, Tillamook Cheddar, Tomato, Lettuce, Garlic Herb Mayo on a Pattycake Hamburger Bun $11.99 Over the weekend I had a family trip to Galveston, TX to hit the beach before the summer ended and after we had gotten our fill of sand, sun, and seagulls we had to make the hard decision on where to go for lunch. If you haven't gone to Galveston before, it is filled with a lot of seafood places which I'm sure can make a good burger, but I decided to rely on a local's suggestion and heading to a small renovated house/cafe to try a burger. Right off the back, the burger was great in size. I almost could not eat all of it and that was with my fiance stealing bites occasionally. There is no doubt you are getting your money's worth here at The Mosquito Cafe. Moving on to the taste of the meat itself, the burger was very juicy and filled with greas

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown Spring, TX Bacon Cheeseburger Bacon, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion on white bun $12.99 If your going to Hurricane Harbor Splashtown in Spring, Texas you are probably not going for the food, and honestly you should probably keep it that way and if you HAVE to eat while you're there, there is a Dippin Dots. First off, there is no selection to the burgers. You can have a burger with cheese and bacon, just 1 of those, or none of those, so leaves little to the imagination on the creative front. Secondly, the burgers are not cooked to order. This particular burger was put under the heat lamp while I was in line (a very long line), and given to me so it was still RELATIVELY fresh, but not really. Being under the heat lamp, it dried up any juiciness the burger could have possibly possessed so it had none. There was no seasoning (or if there way, it was minuscule), and the toppings were left out in a large serve yourself bar w

Bernie's Burger Bus

Bernie's Burger Bus Bellaire, TX Hot Cheeto Burger 2 3 oz Patties, Bacon, American Cheese, Tabasco Infused Onion Strips on top of Spicy Mac n Cheese Encrusted in Flaming Hot Cheetos with Homemade Hot Sauce $9.99 If you happen to go to Bernie's Burger Bus, the first thing you need to do is ask about their "secret" menu. That's where you will find this bad boy. For some reason, left off the regular menu, even though it could easily be called "The Hot Teacher", the server told me that this was at one point a limited time item, that got such popularity they still serve it. To start off, this burger definitely deserves a 5 for it's creativity. In lieu of buns, they instead grind up hot cheetos into a coat that they form around mac and cheese and voila, you have 2 Hot Cheeto patties with Mac n Cheese in them. That however, does seem to be a bit of the issue for them, the "buns" themselves seem to overtake the whole burger and most b
