Avocado Smash Burger
Swiss, House Made Avocado Smash, Red Onions, Tomato, Arugula, Sun Dried Tomato Mayo
$10.49
This week I went to Twin Peaks whose motto is "Eats, Drinks, Scenic Views." and while I can't speak to the last two things of the motto, I can assure everyone who reads this blog, they got the Eats covered.
To start with, Twin Peaks uses an egg bun which honestly is my favorite type of bun and it was so good. I probably could have done with more (and we'll get to that later) but it was great. Working out way down we get to the avocado smash which is a mixture of avocado, bacon, and other various ingredients but even without completely dissecting it, it was incredible.the swiss cheese was basic swiss cheese but it was a welcome ingredient to add the cheese factor to the burger. Red Onions & Tomatoes are basic things you would find on the burger so there's nothing really to deduct or add points there (though it they were caramelized onions, I would always add points for that). Arugula was an interesting choice instead of lettuce, but due to the size of the burger, a huge piece of lettuce would probably been too much of the burger. The last ingredient we have is the Sun Dried Tomato Mayo, which I was pleasantly surprised by. I usually am a staunch opponent of mayo in general, but the flavor of this tomato mayo was actually very good.
The meat itself was very juicy with grease which as we all know is my thing, but there didn't seem to be a noticeable amount of seasoning, though I might have sensed some. Overall, I did enjoy the meat they have here.
The last thing about this burger is it is rather small for being an almost $11 burger, but it was worth it. One warning I would have to give before eating this burger is that it must be eaten fast. The mayo and the grease from the burger make the bread soggy very quickly and near the end of the burger it was falling apart, so I don't know if that would be fixed by a bigger bun or what, but it's not the end of the world.

VERDICT: 4 out of 5 Stars.
And so the Chase continues…
