Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse
Nationwide
All American Cheeseburger
American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion
$9.49

While in the midst of this coronavirus pandemic, a lot of restaurants are doing as much as they can to survive and keep their employees working and making money and one that immediately stood out to me is Texas Roadhouse.
For those of you who haven't heard, Kent Taylor, the CEO of Texas Roadhouse is giving up the rest of his salary for the year in order to help pay the employees at his restaurants. That is a class move, and after reading that, I had to include one of his burgers on the list, even if it is a huge chain.
The burger itself wasn't bad! While I always get a steak when I go to Roadhouse, the burger had a pretty solid argument to be a more ordered item. The meat was soft and fell apart with each bit, and had a juiciness and flavor that you could also taste steak, which I assume came from the fact that they probably grilled all the meat on the same grill.
The lettuce, tomato, and onion were pretty generic so there was not much to talk about there. My only fault with this burger was the cheese. The cheese was definitely a slice of cheese that was tossed on after the burger was done, which given how busy they were, was maybe the best that they could do.
The bun was actually super good. For a place that is known for it's rolls, I should have probably known that they would take pride in all of their bread products, but the bun was big, soft, held the juices very well, and was seared on the grill with butter so it soaked in a lot of flavor.
I went back and forth with this burger being a 3.5 and a 3, but I ultimately had to settle on it being a 3 due to just the lack of creativity. I have no doubt that if I were go go back and get something like their Smokehouse Burger, it would certainly score higher.

VERDICT: 3 out of 5 Stars.

And so the Chase continues…

The Dugout

The Dugout Texarkana, Arkansas Double Header & The Slugger Double Header-2 Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Single Patty The Slugger-Single with Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Pineapple, Bang Bang Sauce, served on a White Bun $8.99 (Double Header), $6.29 (The Slugger) Over the past few weeks, I have been very busy with work and then on vacation road tripping to Nashville, Tennessee. So naturally on this road trip I had to get some burgers, and I decided to get multiple burgers at each stop to make up for all the weeks that I missed. The first burger I tried was the Double Header. In the easiest way to describe it, this was a burger patty smashed between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. Now this doesn't seem like the most creative burger in the world, but it was FUN burger. And it was REALLY good. The Dugout is a hidden gem in Texarkana, their burgers are great! Now while I would love to give this burger a lot of points, I have to take into consideratio...

The Kitchen

The Kitchen The Woodlands, TX Cowboy Burger White Cheddar, Yellow Cheddar, Avocado, Bacon, Mixed Greens, Jalapenos, Onions, Tomatoes, Dill Pickles, Akaushi Wagyu on a Brioche Bun $13.50 For this week, I kept it very local and went to an establishment that was right across the street from my work. Going into it, I honestly didn't know what to expect because I had seen very good reviews on Facebook, but no one I personally knew had been to it so it was a bit of an enigma, and let me tell you, Facebook hit right on the money. The burger itself SOUNDS a lot bigger than it is. Don't get me wrong, it's no small burger, but just from the list of ingredients it sounds like it was going to be big, instead it was just tall. When looking at what all is on this burger, it's already got to get points for creativity. There's like a whole party of ingredients going on here The first thing I noticed was the patty. Not only do they melt their cheeses on to the p...

Snuffer's

Snuffer's Dallas, TX Dr. Pepper BBQ Bacon Burger Dr. Pepper-infused BBQ sauce, American Cheese, Pickles, Diced Red Onions, Mayo, Applewood Smoked Bacon Strips & Crispy Bacon Crumbles $8.99 Over the past weekend I took a trip to Dallas to take my fiance to a concert of her favorite singer (Post Malone) and I decided to grab a couple burgers, this was the first stop and boy did it not disappoint. Originally, I chose this place as it had released a "DakBurger" in 2016 in honor of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, so i knew this place had to be fun at least to have such a good marketing strategy, and upon arriving I learned that it was a limited time thing, but when I came across this burger on the menu, being the Dr. Pepper super fan I am, I had to get it. THE SAUCE IS AMAZING. I honestly had no idea going into the burger what I was expecting from the sauce, but I defiinetly wasn't expecting anything this good. You could taste the bbq sauce in it, bu...
