Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings

Cheese Curd Bacon Burger
Wisconsin White Cheddar Cheese Curds, American Cheese, Bacon, Mayo, Chipotle BBQ Seaning, Iceberg Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Pickles on a Challah Bun
$12.49

While I went to B-Dubbs to get some wings, I saw this burger and couldn't help myself from getting it and talking about it, because boy do I love cheese curds.
The cheese curds at Buffalo Wild Wings (if you haven't had them) are AWESOME. I find myself always getting them as an appetizer, so as far as throwing them on top of a burger...well it is a great alternative to a regular cheese (even though this burger has both). I loved the white Wisconsin cheddar flavor for this.
The regular cheese was pretty bland, but takes a backseat to the curds and could honestly be left off if desired. The bacon was chewier than I would have liked. While it is not as bad as the bacon that I had last week, you can tell that it is just some mass produced frozen bacon that is bought just as a cheap topping in a huge corporate chain restaurant.
The meat here at Buffalo Wild Wings is great. It was far better than I was expecting for a place that puts so much of it's time into chicken wings. It was full of juice and flavor and with the Chipotle BBQ seasoning, it packs even more flavor! The Chipotle BBQ seasoning is so versatile that it can go on chicken wings or burgers.
The challah bun while great in flavor is a pretty small which makes everything else kind of stick out and the curds can fall out if you are not careful.
For how much Buffalo Wild Wings marks this burger up, I really don't think you are getting the value that you should for the price, but that's what you get for going to a chain. I would eat this burger again, purely do to the cheese curds, but then again, maybe I should just get the chicken wings and order the cheese curds separately.

VERDICT: 4 out of 5 Stars.

And so the Chase continues…

The Dugout

The Dugout Texarkana, Arkansas Double Header & The Slugger Double Header-2 Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Single Patty The Slugger-Single with Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Pineapple, Bang Bang Sauce, served on a White Bun $8.99 (Double Header), $6.29 (The Slugger) Over the past few weeks, I have been very busy with work and then on vacation road tripping to Nashville, Tennessee. So naturally on this road trip I had to get some burgers, and I decided to get multiple burgers at each stop to make up for all the weeks that I missed. The first burger I tried was the Double Header. In the easiest way to describe it, this was a burger patty smashed between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. Now this doesn't seem like the most creative burger in the world, but it was FUN burger. And it was REALLY good. The Dugout is a hidden gem in Texarkana, their burgers are great! Now while I would love to give this burger a lot of points, I have to take into consideratio...

Walden War-Tejas Cafe

Tejas Cafe (Mariel's Deli) & (Walden Market) Montgomery, TX Tejas Burger Cheese, Jalapenos, Onions, Cilanto & Chipotle Mayo on a Jalapeno Bun (with Ketchup at Tejas Cafe Walden Market) $7 For this week, I had a friend recommend me a place to go but when looking up the place, I found that there were two of the same name on the same road and when I couldn't get a hold of said friend, I had a very tough decision to make. I either tried one and hoped it was the right one, or I TRY THEM BOTH. I got both, and therefore we have the War on Walden Road between the Two Tejas Cafes. Now both Tejas Cafes are within Shell gast stations on Walden road, one in the Shell that has "Mariel's Deli" and one that has "Walden Market". Before I start, I can tell there is some skepticism, "You want me to eat gas station food?" Trust me, I had THE SAME THOUGHT before I was led to this place, but holy shit was I wrong. THIS PLACE IS GREAT. Ri...

Lord's Kitchen

Lord's Kitchen San Antonio, TX 1/2 lb Cheeseburger Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Onion $10.25 I usually love my trips out of town because I get to go to a burger place that I don't have access to on a daily basis within my local area, but instead I was left with a severe feeling of disappointment on my drive home after eating a burger from the Lord's Kitchen. I opted to go with a regular cheeseburger because I wanted a full meal of fries and a drink and looking back now, I should maybe have gotten a specialty burger instead. The toppings that came on this burger were all the average things that you would expect from a burger place and it didn't taste like they were high quality, now they did not taste like they were of bad quality, just an average kind of taste. The meat, which I feel like should be the thing that you should take pride on, was bland. It honestly tasted to me like a burger that one may find at a drive thru like Burger King or Wend...
