Tewbelaux's
Spring, TX
The B.A.B. (Big Ass Burger)
8 oz. Angus Beef on white bun, topped with BBQ pulled pork, mozzarella, cheddar, chipotle mayo, bacon, and lettuce
$11.99

Wow there is a lot going on with this burger. From the two different types of cheese, to the pile of meat, to the other toppings that were cobbled on, this burger just has it going on. There is even an option to get Onion Rings stacked on top of it, but I opted out just due to the fact that it already had SO much.
The hamburger patty was incredibly juicy, though I didn't taste much seasoning on it, but the addition of the BBQ pulled pork makes a really seasoned patty irrelevant. The delicious BBQ flavoring on top of the hamburger patty goes really well together.
The pairing of the two cheeses went really well, and I'm really glad they chose mozzarella and cheddar, it's hard to think if this burger would have had the same success with 2 different types of cheese. The chipotle mayo was really lose in the shuffle, but like stated before, wasn't really needed.
To put the icing on the cake, the bread they use on all their burgers is very flavorful, and it honestly is what brought me in there in the first place to try this burger knowing I liked their regular burgers.
This burger has risen above all other before it and has truly set the bar as high as it possibly could hope for, and should be tried by all burger lovers!

VERDICT: 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

And so the Chase continues…

The Dugout

The Dugout Texarkana, Arkansas Double Header & The Slugger Double Header-2 Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Single Patty The Slugger-Single with Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Pineapple, Bang Bang Sauce, served on a White Bun $8.99 (Double Header), $6.29 (The Slugger) Over the past few weeks, I have been very busy with work and then on vacation road tripping to Nashville, Tennessee. So naturally on this road trip I had to get some burgers, and I decided to get multiple burgers at each stop to make up for all the weeks that I missed. The first burger I tried was the Double Header. In the easiest way to describe it, this was a burger patty smashed between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. Now this doesn't seem like the most creative burger in the world, but it was FUN burger. And it was REALLY good. The Dugout is a hidden gem in Texarkana, their burgers are great! Now while I would love to give this burger a lot of points, I have to take into consideratio...

The Kitchen

The Kitchen The Woodlands, TX Cowboy Burger White Cheddar, Yellow Cheddar, Avocado, Bacon, Mixed Greens, Jalapenos, Onions, Tomatoes, Dill Pickles, Akaushi Wagyu on a Brioche Bun $13.50 For this week, I kept it very local and went to an establishment that was right across the street from my work. Going into it, I honestly didn't know what to expect because I had seen very good reviews on Facebook, but no one I personally knew had been to it so it was a bit of an enigma, and let me tell you, Facebook hit right on the money. The burger itself SOUNDS a lot bigger than it is. Don't get me wrong, it's no small burger, but just from the list of ingredients it sounds like it was going to be big, instead it was just tall. When looking at what all is on this burger, it's already got to get points for creativity. There's like a whole party of ingredients going on here The first thing I noticed was the patty. Not only do they melt their cheeses on to the p...

Lord's Kitchen

Lord's Kitchen San Antonio, TX 1/2 lb Cheeseburger Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Onion $10.25 I usually love my trips out of town because I get to go to a burger place that I don't have access to on a daily basis within my local area, but instead I was left with a severe feeling of disappointment on my drive home after eating a burger from the Lord's Kitchen. I opted to go with a regular cheeseburger because I wanted a full meal of fries and a drink and looking back now, I should maybe have gotten a specialty burger instead. The toppings that came on this burger were all the average things that you would expect from a burger place and it didn't taste like they were high quality, now they did not taste like they were of bad quality, just an average kind of taste. The meat, which I feel like should be the thing that you should take pride on, was bland. It honestly tasted to me like a burger that one may find at a drive thru like Burger King or Wend...
