If you're going to Brenham, Texas the chances are you are not going for the food scene and you are instead going to the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory, which is exactly what my family and I did, but before we got some yummy dessert, we had to get some lunch. So naturally, I googled "best burger in Brenham" and this was the first search result, so here we are.
The burger itself, was pretty basic in terms of toppings, so not much creativity here. They had plenty of different options such as "Cheeseburger", "Bacon Cheeseburger", "Jalapeno Cheeseburger", etc. but nothing special enough to call creative.
The toppings were pretty basic and while they weren't bad by any means, they aren't going to knock your socks off.
The meat was not seasoned very well, but boy was it juicy! You can tell that these patties just soak up the grease from continuous use on the grill and as we all know from my previous posts, I love me a good, juicy burger, so that gave this burger some merit points.
Overall, while this burger isn't worth making a trip out to Brenham for, I can't say that it's a bad burger and if you happen to be in Brenham for some reason, you can't go wrong with eating it.


VERDICT: 3 out of 5 Stars.

Walden War-Tejas Cafe

Tejas Cafe (Mariel's Deli) & (Walden Market) Montgomery, TX Tejas Burger Cheese, Jalapenos, Onions, Cilanto & Chipotle Mayo on a Jalapeno Bun (with Ketchup at Tejas Cafe Walden Market) $7 For this week, I had a friend recommend me a place to go but when looking up the place, I found that there were two of the same name on the same road and when I couldn't get a hold of said friend, I had a very tough decision to make. Lord's Kitchen San Antonio, TX 1/2 lb Cheeseburger Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle, Onion $10.25 I usually love my trips out of town because I get to go to a burger place that I don't have access to on a daily basis within my local area, but instead I was left with a severe feeling of disappointment on my drive home after eating a burger from the Lord's Kitchen. I opted to go with a regular cheeseburger because I wanted a full meal of fries and a drink and looking back now, I should maybe have gotten a specialty burger instead. The toppings that came on this burger were all the average things that you would expect from a burger place and it didn't taste like they were high quality, now they did not taste like they were of bad quality, just an average kind of taste.
