Snuffer's
Dallas, TX
Dr. Pepper BBQ Bacon Burger
Dr. Pepper-infused BBQ sauce, American Cheese, Pickles, Diced Red Onions, Mayo, Applewood Smoked Bacon Strips & Crispy Bacon Crumbles
$8.99

Over the past weekend I took a trip to Dallas to take my fiance to a concert of her favorite singer (Post Malone) and I decided to grab a couple burgers, this was the first stop and boy did it not disappoint.
Originally, I chose this place as it had released a "DakBurger" in 2016 in honor of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, so i knew this place had to be fun at least to have such a good marketing strategy, and upon arriving I learned that it was a limited time thing, but when I came across this burger on the menu, being the Dr. Pepper super fan I am, I had to get it.
THE SAUCE IS AMAZING. I honestly had no idea going into the burger what I was expecting from the sauce, but I defiinetly wasn't expecting anything this good. You could taste the bbq sauce in it, but you also got a sweet taste and could taste the flavoring of the Dr. Pepper.
Sticking with the positives for now: the cheese was very gooey as it had been cooked on the burger which is always best when you're having cheese on a burger and the diced red onions gave it a very "backyard bbq" taste to it instead of just a regular onion slice. Lastly, the meat was super flavorful and juicy which was great to have on top of all the other things it had going right for it. Lastly, the size was great. I had this and shared a side of fries and I was perfectly full after it.
The only complaint that I have about this burger that kept it from being the perfect burger was the bun. It came on a poppy seed bun which I don't have anything against poppy see buns, but I would have preferred a more barbecue-esch bun like maybe Texas Toast or an egg bun.
Bottom line, next time you are in the Dallas Area, try to get to one of the Snuffer's Locations and get this burger!

VERDICT: 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

And so the Chase continues…

Walden War-Tejas Cafe

Tejas Cafe (Mariel's Deli) & (Walden Market) Montgomery, TX Tejas Burger Cheese, Jalapenos, Onions, Cilanto & Chipotle Mayo on a Jalapeno Bun (with Ketchup at Tejas Cafe Walden Market) $7 For this week, I had a friend recommend me a place to go but when looking up the place, I found that there were two of the same name on the same road and when I couldn't get a hold of said friend, I had a very tough decision to make. I either tried one and hoped it was the right one, or I TRY THEM BOTH. I got both, and therefore we have the War on Walden Road between the Two Tejas Cafes. Now both Tejas Cafes are within Shell gast stations on Walden road, one in the Shell that has "Mariel's Deli" and one that has "Walden Market". Before I start, I can tell there is some skepticism, "You want me to eat gas station food?" Trust me, I had THE SAME THOUGHT before I was led to this place, but holy shit was I wrong. THIS PLACE IS GREAT. Ri...

Southwell's Hamburger Grill

Southwell's Hamburger Grill Houston, TX Bacon Cheeseburger Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, and Onions with American Cheese and Bacon. $6.40 For this week's burger trip, I decided to try out Southwell's Hamburger Grill in Houston, TX. Now I have lived in Houston my whole life and I have never heard about his place (despite it having 4 locations in the Houston area) until I looked through a burger suggestion post on Facebook, and frankly, I probably could have gone the rest of my life without hearing about it. Now before anyone jumps to any super negative conclusions, the burger wasn't "bad". It just was not what I was looking for. The meat was a pretty good size and was pretty juicy but didn't really have any seasoning, the bun seemed to be a typical hamburger bun out of a package, and the cheese seemed to be just a regular old slice of American cheese thrown on at the last parts of the grilling process. I didn't like how...

Boomerjack's

Boomerjack's Dallas, TX Triple B Burger Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Beef, Bacon, Brisket, topped with onion strings on a Pretzel Roll. $11.99 For 2020, I wanted to start off on a good foot, or rather burger, and I think I could say that I did that. In my trip to Dallas to watch the last Cowboys game of the season, I stopped to eat at a VERY busy sports bar by the stadium that I had been too years ago (and at a buffalo chicken sandwich that was pretty good) with a certain burger in mind, but due to menu changes, I had to settle for this one. As you can tell, there is A LOT of meat on this burger which is always a good thing when you are a carnivore like myself. To start with the basics, the burger was patty was alright. I honestly did not get a good taste of the burger patty in every bite because the brisket took over the flavor of pretty much every bite. However, the patty was very soft and fell apart easily which was great. The brisket to continue from y previous p...
